Absolutely it’s possible* (Conditions apply)

The most dangerous politician of all is the one that is so ethical according to their own standards, procedures and policies that everyone else who doesn’t comply becomes enemy number one.

The question then, how do we hold these politicians to account?

By having no need for them

1. Keep them within your ranks and deliberately influence their standards, procedures and policies.

2. Keep the conversation always open to prevent them from going deeper into their own self righteous rabbit hole.

3. Introduce them to ideas that they can call their own. You have to be close enough for them to catch fresh ideas.

4. Let them fail miserably and be their for them rather than exploit them.

5. Don’t give them more honour than they deserve, don’t be so demeaning that they distance themselves from you.

6. Do all the above to keep yourself from becoming so ethical in your own mind that you are no longer a vessel of influence.

Everything is measurable

It’s our blindness to the bigger picture that creates false measures of success, be it a politician or citizen Joe

Society is in desperate need of self governing individuals that have the ability to influence all sides of government to stay grounded.

To be ignorant of politics ourselves allows these politicians that perhaps enter politics for the right reason free reign to destroy the fabric of society.

The ancient influencer paraphrased ~ “I became all things so that I may save some” Paul known as the Apostle always stretching his own knowledge encouraged his students to be free from the curse of ignorance.

Who knows what light could come from a chat?

Three lies that trap us

An ancient king has one wish in a difficult season “I wish I had wings like a dove, so I could fly far away and be at peace.” King David

How is it even possible that the king felt so confined?

1. Don’t believe the lie that more power brings greater freedom and choice

When King David was just a shepherd boy he enjoyed the freedom of nature and anonymity.

He showed all the signs of greatness that only sheep would know. He killed a lion & a bear protecting his fathers flock.

When the world sees your gift, jealousy and greed sets their eyes on your demise.

2. Don’t believe the lie that you will gain trusted friends in power

King David’s greatest wounds came from family and those who ate at his leadership table. He even quotes the following at the height of his power “Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me”

3. He believed the lie that he didn’t have to be on the battlefield any longer (stopped leading by example)

When leaders reach the point of success where they forget the origin of their success, their mind goes into fantasy mode.

Battles are always led and won by kings & queens on the front line…

David reached such a point of success that he sent out his (Consultants) to do the fighting for him.

By believing these three lies, we trap ourselves into cages that society builds for us.

Like David, we don’t need imaginary wings of doves to escape to the mountain top or find a fresh stream to refresh ourselves, we need to do one simple thing?

Don’t take our title so seriously

Shock the world around you and become that shepherd boy or girl once again.

No need for titles

No need for accolades

No need for pretence

Watch the world distance itself from you or embrace you even more the day you return to your true self.

You’ll be as free as a dove

Who knows what light could come from a chat?

I woke up to a dream this morning where the question was asked about true riches?

The answer was given like an impression rather than a voice “Having the freedom to think for yourself”

The one thing that has been positive about a world crisis is just that; societies and individuals are rethinking what’s imperative to humanity over what’s inconvenient.

For months we’ve had to balance the top news stories of the economy with death tolls and human liberty.

Time to think for ourselves is birthing a New Rich

1. We will see a dramatic change to the forty hour work week

2. We will need less money to create the life of our dreams

3. We will return back to the village as we reconnect with simplicity

4. We will return our hearts back to family, faith and friendships

5. Wealth will be redistributed not by governments but by individuals returning back to philanthropy and community

6. We will no longer trust big brother governments and corporations

7. We will return back to self governing by creating our own wealth through the ability to think for ourselves

The chains of rising external forces that herd us into their economic games will be broken

One of the richest people I’ve ever known was my mother who was house bound for the last few years of her life. I would often ask her what she thought about and her answers were so simple. “Nothing, I’ve got everything, I don’t worry about anything”

I would sit there staring at her with the physical restrictions she had and her ageing body and think “She’s not kidding, the woman is free, she has been for years, she’s got all the time in the world to reflect without anyone badgering her”

I’m starting to understand true wealth in my mid fifties and hope I can help others experience the New Rich syndrome earlier in life.

Just before you commit to that relationship or make that big purchase and all hell breaks loose, you begin to see the wisdom of life right before you.

I’ve often pondered where I’d be if I got everything I ever prayed for, until I met those that have attained my fabricated destiny.

Success is not what it’s made out to be

I remember sitting opposite a man and with tears in his eyes as he shares his utter emptiness “Tom, I can’t even taste the food any more”

In his chase for the allusive dream of happiness, he lost his connection with the simple things that make up happiness. He was like a man fearful of his own shadow.

I recall times in my life where I thought I’d achieve far more and yet I’m so thankful those aspirations never came to pass.

1. I have time to think for myself

2. I was preserved from self destruction

3. Simplicity has never been so deep

4. Laughter has returned

5. It seems that God loves me more than He does my ego and for that I’m grateful

6. The right people have appeared to support His will and road of redemption and renewal

7. God hasn’t finished with me or you yet, nor has he finished with you

Moses was in the desert for forty years before he realised the fullness of his destiny at eighty years of age

Don’t rush life and always be prepared to respond to the greater good, even from our seemingly insignificant place.

God will often help us grow in areas of our life in the most remote situations. God is always looking out for our wellbeing rather than what we can do for Him.

When the timing is right, God makes things grow a hundred times faster than any effort we think we can put in.

Our best days are always before us.

If this message resonates and you find yourself in a quiet place where it feels insignificant, maybe you could do with an Executive Confidant or a Professional Friend to work with you?

If you are an individual looking for a professional friend that you can trust during your habit renewal transition, perhaps take on this offer and let’s chat
If you are a business owner or executive looking for a leadership life coach that can help you sustain the pressures life throws at you, perhaps this offer will suit you, let’s chat

If we’re to last the distance, simplicity is a prerequisite.

I sometimes feel the weight of the daily grind, problem solving, seeking opportunity, getting along with people, planning for the future.

My whiteboard is always filled with life’s lessons but not today.

Today I empty everything, I wipe it clean, I ask for forgiveness of myself, it got to complicated and I was going in circles.

It’s in this place I am free of all judgement, the worst judge of all being me.

Every now and again take the eraser and wipe it all down.

Past mistakes
Current circumstances
Future expectations

Most of it is not real and it’s a tragedy to be trapped in the imagery we’ve created.

God & nature constantly provide proof that new beginnings start when everything else is burnt to the ground including our misguided thoughts.

You’ll feel a huge burden lifted from your shoulders and hopefully see the world in it’s glory once more.

The ancients taught ‘Unless a seed falls to the ground and dies it remains alone but if it dies it comes back to life and multiplies a hundred times’
